Mecalux at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2026 in Barcelona

Mecalux will unveil its latest technological advancements at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2026, an event bringing together logistics experts to explore how digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming the industry. The global intralogistics solutions provider will present its AI strategy and the latest developments from its collaboration with MIT at the conference, to be held in Barcelona (Spain) from 18 to 20 May.

Advancing AI with MIT

At the symposium, Mecalux will reveal the latest developments in its collaboration with the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics in a session led by Dr. Matthias Winkenbach, Director of the MIT Intelligent Logistics Systems Lab. The talk, MIT on AI in warehouse automation and supply chain planning, will take place on Monday, 18 May, at 3:15 p.m. at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (Room 117).

During the session, Dr Winkenbach will analyse how AI can support decision-making through GENESIS, a simulator developed by MIT and Mecalux that evaluates thousands of scenarios to optimise supply chain planning.

Additionally, the presentation will highlight the findings of the joint MIT–Mecalux study on the state of AI in warehousing. The report reveals that this technology has already been implemented in six out of ten facilities worldwide.

Mecalux named in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant™

At Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2026, Mecalux will also exhibit its digital logistics solutions. The company has once again been recognised in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Warehouse Management Systems for Easy WMS. Throughout the three-day event in Barcelona, attendees will have the opportunity to discover first-hand the capabilities of Mecalux’s logistics software, designed to help companies boost productivity in manual, hybrid, and fully automated facilities.

Among the most recent Easy WMS innovations is Easy AI. This feature enables users to interact via natural language to query information, generate dashboards and reports, and execute actions aimed at improving warehouse efficiency.

At the Gartner conference in Barcelona, Mecalux will also present its progress in developing a new generation of software powered by AI agents. The technology is designed to execute tasks autonomously and assist users with day-to-day warehouse management. Configurable to suit the needs of any facility, these agents can monitor operations, optimise processes and automate complex decision-making.

We look forward to seeing you at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo™ 2026!
