Mecalux puts automation centre stage at Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo 2026

Automation and digitalisation will take centre stage at Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo 2026, where Mecalux will present its latest solutions. The trade fair will take place on 11 and 12 November at Excel London, bringing together retailers and supply chain professionals looking to improve their warehousing and distribution operations.

As a one-stop supplier of intralogistics solutions, Mecalux will exhibit its technology portfolio at Booth R1151. Visitors will be able to see first-hand projects that combine storage systems, robotics and warehouse management software tailored to each business’s needs.

Automation for more efficient logistics

Mecalux technologies optimise every stage of intralogistics operations, from goods receipt and putaway through to order picking and dispatch. Its solutions include automated warehouses for pallets and boxes, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated high-density storage systems such as the 4-Way Pallet Shuttle.

In sectors such as retail and e-commerce, automation enables companies to effectively manage large numbers of SKUs and fulfil numerous orders of different sizes every day, even during peak demand periods. To speed up operations, Mecalux offers goods-to-person systems that send products directly to pick stations. One example is the Shuttle System, which uses autonomous shuttles to retrieve boxes from the racking and deliver them to operators for order fulfilment.

Software to streamline operations

Coordinating the movement of materials and resources within a facility requires software that organises operations and keeps inventory up to date. Attendees will be able to discover the latest capabilities of Mecalux’s Easy WMS warehouse management system, which controls all logistics activity and maintains a continuous flow of goods. It also provides information on inventory levels to support supply chain managers’ decision-making.

At the Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo 2026, Mecalux will showcase its latest advances in artificial intelligence for logistics. Easy AI enables users to interact with the WMS through natural-language queries. The company is also developing AI agents capable of analysing data, detecting incidents and recommending ways to optimise warehouse operations. These digital assistants can be configured to meet each business’s requirements.

Research to drive innovation

Visitors will be able to learn more about Mecalux’s collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The two organisations are researching new applications of AI and simulation to optimise warehouse performance. Projects range from replenishment planning and slotting optimisation to the development of digital twins for designing automated warehouses.

We look forward to seeing you at Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo 2026!
